SY 26-27 Application Overview

The 2026-2027 Instructional Coach application is a step-by-step process that lets you showcase your teaching expertise and leadership potential through simple performance tasks and professional history.

• 

  Pre-Qualification

  Candidates must meet the following to apply:

  • 3 years of successful teaching experience
  • LIFT Level: Established or higher
  • IMPACT: Effective or higher on latest eval
  • Active teaching credential
• 

  Performance Task 1

  Candidates watch an instructional video and evaluate the quality of instruction through amultiple-choice assessment.

• 

  Performance Task 2

  Candidates provide feedback on the quality of a coaching plan created for the teacher observed in Performance Task 1.

• 

  Performance Task 3

  Candidates submit artifacts demonstrating their readiness for instructional leadership. Candidates also complete a one-way asynchronous video interview.

• 

  Pool & School-Based Selection

  Once members of hiring committee have narrowed selections to final 3-5 candidates, school are required to issue a school-based performance task. Sample tasks can be found here.
